 "Not washable" 2010-01-02
By Mom to be (Long Island, NY)
Bought these for the nursery. When I got them they had a strong odor - probably plastic. After a few days of letting them air it wasn't noticeably better so I washed them. Used the manufacturers recommended washing procedure and gentle baby detergent. However, the back side of the liner started disintegrating in the wash. It left small, white pieces all over the liners and the laundry room. Used a vacuum cleaner followed by pet-hair-remover to get the residue off the liners. On some of the liners, the lacy strip across the top also started unraveling.

Also wish the sizes were a little closer to standard curtain sizes. This is an inch or so longer and wider than my curtains. So on top of the cleaning mess, I have to hem them all.

The liners themselves work well so thus the 3 stars. We have several street lights and neighbors flood lights that shine into the nursery. The liners block out most of the light. But it wasn't worth the hassle of washing/hemming. If I could do it over again, I'd buy curtains with liners built in. If you don't care about the odor & size is not an issue, then these might be ok for you.

 "great" 2009-06-24
By Sam
I already have the beautiful drapes for my windows but unfortunately they do not block out the light. I did not want to purchase new blackout curtains because I bought these few months ago. So I purchased these liners and they do the job. They are well packaged and the product is high quality.
